CYF Community Restorative Court Social Worker

DEFINITION AND EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

These positions are in Children, Youth & Families Division of Human Services

Child Protection/Delinquency: Provides the full range of child protection, child welfare and delinquency-related social work activities assigned to county agencies by state law. These activities relate to protection of children who have been maltreated or are at risk for maltreatment, and provision of supervision and services to youth involved in the juvenile justice system and their families.
 
Community Supervision (Neighborhood Intervention Program): Provides community supervision, case management services and redirection for youth ages 10-16 who are adjudicated delinquent. Requires face-to-face contact with adolescents and families, group facilitation, interaction with schools, law enforcement, and court personnel.
 
Community Social Worker: Works cooperatively with residents and community partners to provide prevention/early intervention services to children, youth and families; coordinates neighborhood and community-based resources to strengthen families and communities; and acts as a community referral source and resource person.
 
Comprehensive Community Services and Children's Long Term Support Social Worker (CCS/CLTS): This position provides service facilitation for children within Dane County's Comprehensive Community Services Program as well as case management, and related services for Dane County foster children with a severe emotional disturbance (SED) who are found functionally eligible for Wisconsin's Children's Long Term Support Waiver services. This position works under the supervision of the CCS/CLTS Waiver Supervisor.
 
ARTT Social Worker: Under general supervision, provides assessment, case management, and placement services to youth with serious emotional disturbances and their families. Duties include reviewing referrals and initiating case activity according to established guidelines; assessing individual and family strengths and needs; developing and monitoring case plans for youth and families; placing youth in out-of-home care; implementing community-based plans for youth returning to the community.
