Interactive Intern
Do you like video games? What about film, television and comics? Skybound Entertainment is searching for a hardworking, enthusiastic intern for its interactive department. Bonus points for any interest in transmedia entertainment. Ideal candidates will have previous experience with video game production (classes and previous internships count). Primary learning opportunities include testing games, conducting industry-related research, and an introduction to administrative tasks which will increase hireability in the future. This is a fantastic opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look into many aspects of video game production. Candidates must be able to receive college credit for the internship and intern twice a week. Haters need not apply.
Learning Opportunities:
- Improving Playtest ability
- Improving writing and analyzing games skills
- A deeper understanding of the video game industry
- Exposure to changing technologies, such as VR and AR
- Introduction to administrative tasks which will increase hireability in the future
- Opportunity to give notes on active projects
Basic Qualifications:
- Excellent research, organization, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Dropbox
- Experience with project manage software (JIRA, Asana) is a plus
- Comfortable playing mobile, console, and PC games
- Familiarity with Skybound Entertainment’s content
- Ability to survive a zombie apocalypse optional
