Communications & Special Projects Coordinator

REPORTS TO: President/CEO

STATUS: Salary, Full-Time

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Communications & Special Projects Coordinator will assist the President/CEO with various tasks as needed. This role will have an emphasis on informing and engaging OWL’s current audiences and prospective supporters in order to increase awareness of OWL programs and services.

REQUIREMENTS:
•Commitment to the mission of OWL: OWL partners with communities to help individuals overcome barriers to achieve personal and professional growth
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
•Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, nonprofit management or similar field

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
ADMINISTRATIVE
•Provide general administrative and clerical support
•Lead relations/communications with Board of Directors
•Prepare and maintain documents including correspondence, reports and databases
•Schedule and coordinate meetings and events to be attended by the President/CEO
COMMUNICATIONS
•Manage promotional and informational materials (brochures, flyers, promotional items etc.)
•Apply for awards and recognition on behalf of OWL
•Serve as company spokesperson and attend events as needed
•Write success stories and company announcements (newsletters, etc.)
•Manage social media content, online membership pages and website
FUNDRAISING
•Manage donor relations, communications and fundraising campaigns
•Serve as event planner for annual OWL Foundation Golf Outing
