Contracts Administration Intern - 6650
ONLY COLLEGE STUDENTS WHO WILL HAVE COMPLETED, AT A MINIMUM, THEIR FRESHMAN YEAR BY THE END OF MAY 2018 ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR THIS POSITION.
This position reports to UCOR's Project Contract Manager.
Duties:
This position will be responsible to assist Contract Administrators in completing the following tasks:
- Research, analyze, and prepare change order proposals and requests for equitable adjustment for the prime contract with the Department of Energy (DOE). Includes coordination of input from project technical and pricing personnel.
- Prepare correspondence for notification of contract changes to DOE.
- Prepare correspondence for submission of contract deliverables.
- Review and track completion documentation for performance reports and incentives.
- Maintain log of Contract changes.
- Measure and report progress on execution of assigned projects.
- Advise project personnel on contractual rights, obligations, performance, and recommend potential solutions to contractual problems.
- Prepare FAR 15-2 tables and coordinate proposal data with a variety of project and functional persons.
- Perform research on allowable cost issues.
- Update contract procedures and flowcharts.
Job Related Qualifications:
• Be a citizen of the USA.
• Have completed the freshman year of college studies.
• Communicate clearly and well orally and in writing.
• Possess computer skills and be able to work within the programs Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be able to solve problems and to complete assignments.
• Must have the ability to work in a team environment.
• Must be self-motivated and willing to work with short completion requirements.
• Must have the ability to work with all levels within the organization.
