Communications Intern - 6648

ONLY COLLEGE STUDENTS WHO WILL HAVE COMPLETED, AT A MINIMUM, THEIR SOPHOMORE YEAR BY THE END OF MAY 2018 ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR THIS POSITION.

This position reports to the Manager of Communications and Community Programs.

Duties:

• Participate in a variety of programs and projects designed to raise awareness of UCOR and increase its profile in the regional community and the industry as a whole.
• Draft press releases.
• Assist in preparation of external presentations.
• Assist in planning of internal and external events and site tours.
• Assist with preparing publications, statements, and correspondence.
• Assist with the corporate giving program.
• Update the UCOR website.
• Other assignments as needed.

Job Related Qualifications:

• Recent college graduate or student currently pursuing 4-year degree or higher in Public Relations or other relevant area of study.
• Completed, at a minimum, their sophomore year.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
