LEAN Intern - 6641

ONLY COLLEGE STUDENTS WHO WILL HAVE COMPLETED, AT A MINIMUM, THEIR FRESHMAN YEAR BY THE END OF MAY 2018 ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR THIS POSITION.

This position reports to the Manager of Supply Chain Management.

Duties:

• Participate in a LEAN event to help improve an area of focus.  Area of focus identified later.
• Create/provide training, mentoring, and facilitation on the LEAN toolset.
• Raise the level of LEAN and continuous improvement throughout UCOR.
• Learn the basic principles of LEAN.
• Learn how to see the business from a different perspective.

Job Related Qualifications:

• Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Business related discipline.
• Must have excellent problem-solving skill, and the ability to take assignments to completion.
• Must have the ability to work in a team environment.
• Must be self-directed, self-motivated, and willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must demonstrate the ability to lead and drive change.
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal communication skill, and public speaking skills.
• Must have the ability to work with all levels within the organization.
