Summer Camp Jobs and Internships

It is a Girl’s World at Danbee. We strive to prepare girls to “take on the world” through passion and perseverance. Danbee empowers campers to set and achieve goals. Everything we do at camp is designed to motivate and encourage each girl to be her best self. Danbee programming allows girls to build life-skills that they will utilize the rest of their lives. Strong, resilient women are what Danbee works to nurture. And from all reports …. We do!!!

At Danbee, the goal is to provide girls with a summer experience filled with moments of self-discovery and spirited activity. Instilled with the tradition of warmth, caring and companionship, Danbee is a place where summer relationships are born and lifelong friendships develop. Challenges are faced head on and girls are encouraged to learn from their mistakes and achieve their goals through perseverance and team work.

All of the counselors at Danbee work in a dual role — both as a bunk counselor living in a bunk with kids, and as a specialty counselor teaching in a specific program area. Counselor applicants must have completed at least one year of university. We are looking for people who are caring, patient, fun-loving, energetic, and who truly love working with children. As a counselor you will be sleeping in a bunk with campers. You will help supervise them during meals, rest hours, during evening activities, on trips and during special events. Many of our counselors are education and recreation majors at school, looking for further experience working with kids. At the same time, we are looking for people who are skilled and experienced in one (or more) of our many program areas. You will be teaching classes during the daytime, to girls of all ages and varying levels of experience, in the area(s) where you have experience. Applicants must have strong knowledge and skills in their specialty area and must have relevant experience teaching/coaching children. Being a counselor is an extremely rewarding, and at the same time challenging, position at camp. Your days will be long and tiring, and at the same time you will form close bonds with the girls in your bunk while having an experience that you will never forget!
