Provides engineering support for ongoing and new operations.

Responsibilities and Duties

Essential Job Functions

·         Uses and promotes Lean Manufacturing methods

·         Designs methods and machines for maintaining or increasing production levels while improving production costs, yields, quality and safety

·         Trains operators in correct process, software, equipment, tooling, and/or fixture use

·         Investigates and initiates Design Engineering change requests. Participates in design reviews of new products or major revisions to guide Design Engineering towards a best solution. Facilities implementation of design changes

·         Develops and updates process procedures to ensure that documentation is accurate, clear, and follows standards

·         Troubleshoots process problems and identifies solutions which reduce downtime and minimizes maintenance costs

·         Assist Manufacturing in troubleshooting problems with manufactured product

·         Analyzes marketing and economic conditions and relates these factors to future manufacturing requirements

·         Monitors process equipment to identify potential errors and develops solutions to eliminate the occurrence or reoccurrence of problems

·         Performs Project Management as assigned

·         Provides technical information for cost estimating and cost reduction

Qualifications and Skills

Education

Four year college degree required

Program of Study

BSIE or BSME, minimum

Experience

·         Minimum two (2) years’ related work experience

Certification

Yellow belt encouraged

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00 to $64,000.00 /year
