Recreation Manager

The Bozeman Ranger District is conducting an outreach to identify highly energetic, team oriented yet independent candidates for a recreation special uses program management position with other potential recreation, trails, and/or wilderness duties. The duty stations will be Bozeman, MT. In order to open the position to the widest possible number of candidates we are considering several job series options and grades. Job series could include 401 – Natural Resource Specialist, 101 – Social Scientist or 807 – Landscape Architect. Grades considered will be 7/9.

 

If you are looking to gain experience in recreation special use management the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem is the place to be. Our thriving community are closely tied commercially and recreationally to our public lands and the Custer Gallatin Recreation Special Use Program is a key connection between communities and their National Forest. The Bozeman Ranger District has a very busy outfitter and guide program, numerous recreation events, recreational residences, and organizational camps and is in high demand for commercial filming locations. This position may also assist other areas of our recreation program including wilderness, roads, developed recreation and trails.
