Bozarth Property Manager, GUEST

Job Summary:

The Bozarth Property Manager position is responsible to the Assistant Director, Operations. The manager works closely with the Assistant Director to manage the entire events program, including: initial site tours, reserving dates, booking, contracting, negotiating terms and conditions which includes Bozarth meeting rooms, dorm rooms and outdoor lawn spaces, facility requirements and other needs of a guest or group. The manager directs and schedules appropriate student staff based on the requirements of each event.
The position works closely and collaboratively with others within the GUEST department and within the university to provide all requirements for a successful event. The manager provides clear and accurate communication prior to, during and after an event in verbal and written formats. The manager works through the Event Management System (EMS) with the scheduler as well as the facilities and building management team to provide for successful guest experiences. The manager provides direction and development for their student team. The position establishes standards for all activities associated with events in collaboration with the Assistant Director, Operations. This position assists in the sales and marketing of events through flawless execution. In addition, this position must work closely in coordinating details with external vendors who have been contracted by the clients to be on-site during their events such as decorators, photographers, caterers and DJ’s. The Bozarth Property Manager anticipates the needs of each guest or group and works tirelessly to provide an exemplary guest experience from start to finish. This position is also responsible for the accurate, timely and consistent upkeep of events through the EMS System.

Minimum Qualifications:
1) Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field or equivalent years of working experience in a professional setting.
2) 3-5 years’ experience in a mid-level management position.
3) Facility and scheduling management experience.
4) Knowledge of state and local laws pertaining to the contracting of facilities.
5) Proficient computer skills, including word processing and data base management.
6) Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment.
7) Ability to work collaboratively with and relate well to diverse groups of people and have strong customer service skills.
8) Experience with budgets, accounting procedures, and basic bookkeeping.
9) Must be available to live on premise.

Preferred Qualifications:

1) Master’s Degree (Business or Organizational Leadership).
2) Work experience with SCT Banner, EMS and Excel.
3) Supervisory experience.
4) Creating forms, projections and integrating data.
