ULA Job Description
Performs development, modification, application and maintenance of quality standards and protocol for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product. Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place. Adheres to implementation methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Performs the design or specification of inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Insures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements. May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.

Basic Qualifications:

-Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline from a traditional college or university vs online degree program

-Must meet minimum vision requirements and demonstrate the ability to hear pure tone thresholds as specified by the relevant contractual agreement, regulation and/or company occupational health guide

-Experience with Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

Preferred Requirements:

-Exposure to process control and process improvement concepts, design to manufacturing, statistics, problem solving

-Familiarity with root cause analysis techniques (failure modes and effects, hazard analysis, fishbone methods, fault trees, etc)

-Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email

-Previous internship working with electrical, mechanical or pressure systems
