Human Resources Compliance Manager

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Compliance Manager to ensure our company adheres to legal standards and in-house policies. You will be responsible for enforcing regulations in all aspects and levels of business as well as provide guidance on compliance matters.

 

A great Human Resources Compliance Manager is well-versed in legal guidelines and corporate governance best practices. They are professionals of high ethical standards and work diligently to complete their duties keeping in mind the objectives of the business. You must be comfortable in making quick business decisions to shift priorities and function effectively in a dynamic fast paced work culture when necessary and be result-oriented.

 

The goal is to preserve the company’s integrity and compliance posture by making sure it stays on a lawful and ethical course.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

§ Develop and oversee HR compliance programs to prevent or mitigate violations of legal guidelines and internal policies

§ Manage the HR compliance team and evaluate the efficiency of internal controls and improve them continuously

§ Conduct compliance health checks and revise procedures, reports etc. periodically to identify and remedy hidden risks or non-conformity issues

§ Lead response on DOL audits by OFCCP and Wage & Hour Division

§ Draft, modify and implement company policies and procedures

§ Collaborate with corporate counsels and HR department leads to monitor enforcement of standards and regulations

§ Assess the onboarding of federal contracts to identify possible compliance risks

§ Review the work of colleagues when necessary to identify compliance issues and provide advice or training

§ Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in HR compliance control

§ Prepare reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as required

 

Qualifications

 

Job Requirements

§ Demonstrated experience (8+ years) in government contracting as Human Resources Compliance Manager

§ In-depth knowledge of the industry’s compliance standards and regulations (e.g. EEO, FLSA, SCA, ADA and OFCCP)

§ Excellent knowledge of drug and alcohol testing reporting procedures and recordkeeping requirements

§ A business acumen partnered with a dedication to compliance and legality matters

§ Methodical and diligent with outstanding project planning abilities

§ An analytical mind able to determine the complexities of procedures and regulations

§ Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

§ Ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance is essential

§ Excellent computer skills are a must

§ BS/BA in business administration or related field is a plus

§ Certified human resources professional is a plus
