CENTERS FOR MEDICARE & MEDICAID SERVICES (CMS) IS SEEKING A HEALTH INSURANCE SPECIALIST TO SERVE IN ITS WASHINGTON, D.C. OFFICE!

This position in located in the CMS, Office of Legislation (OL), Consumer Insurance Analysis and Oversight Group.

Specifically you will:

·         Monitor all congressional legislative activity for assigned areas of responsibility.

·         Coordinate the development of legislative proposals and develops the technical specifications for such legislation. Plans, develops, and directs the strategy to enhance the enactment of the Administration's legislative program for assigned areas of responsibility.

·         Analyze and review regulations, sub-regulatory guidance, issue papers, Office of the Inspector General Reports, Government Accountability Office reports, Reports to Congress, Congressional correspondence, press releases, and other Agency policy and operational documents.

·         Develop, recommend, and prepare legislative policies and proposals for consideration by senior policy officials in the Agency and Department for inclusion in the President's budget and legislative agenda.

·         Present problems and recommended solutions to management and senior leadership; and ensures follow through on the agreed-upon response.
