Starting Salary: $18.17/hourly (1,453.60 biweekly)

Requirements (Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification):
  • Undergraduate degree in a social or behavioral science plus 12 months DHS experience or undergraduate degree in a non-related field plus 18 months DHS experience or an associate degree plus 24 months DHS experience or 36 months DHS experience or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's licence issued by the state of residency.
 
Job Duties (Summary):
 
  • Provides oversight for NET transportation contracts forproviders of transportation  services including but not limited to: NET cab/van transportation, case services and visitation transportation for Children’s Services, and purchase of bus tickets/bus passes. Acts as front-line contract liaison and trouble shooter for contracted providers, provider agencies utilizing transportation services and agency staff.   Participates in operational meetings with providers. Assists staff in understanding services provided and appropriate utilization of services. Reviews invoices from providers. Assists the provider and the Fiscal Department in resolving billing problems to assure proper payment to the provider.   Reports monthly spending and maintains monthly reports on volume of services utilized.
 
  • Monitors complaints submitted by community providers and consumers and ensures timely and appropriate response. Engages with the contracted providers to secure details around timely service issues and safety concerns and relays outcomes to requestors of service. Follows up on incident reports and directs appropriate follow up action by NET supervisor for suspension of services. Engages in processes to improve efficiency of the contracted providers, requestors of service and internal NET processes. Completes observations of drop off and pick up by contracted vendors at various community provider locations, including but not limited to day treatment/partial hospitalization programs, Family Nurturing Center, and dialysis clinics. Participates in ride-alongs with drivers transporting Medicaid consumers to ensure compliance with contract requirements. Conducts presentations for contracted providers at driver/staff training of services provided by JFS and the populations served.
 
  • Performs a variety of specialized clerical functions requiring interpretive and decision makings skills; maintains basic knowledge of all transportation contracts; works on special projects as assigned by supervisor/section chief; produces and/or works various reports as needed; assists with scheduling of transportation and document management for the NET unit as needed.
 
  • Attends necessary approved training as required.
 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
