Associate Director for Employer Engagement

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in Counseling, Student Development, Counseling, MBA, Higher Education Administration or related fields. Minimum of five years of related experience. Additional experience may not be used to offset the educational requirements. The university offers market competitive salary and benefits. Grade EG. Salary minimum $48,421.

Associate Director for Employer Engagement

Career Development Center

The Career Development Center is seeking candidates for the position of Associate Director for Employer Engagement. The mission of the Career Development Center is to empower students for success in their journey from college to career. The Career Development Center assists students in the following areas:

  • Career Planning Exploring Majors and Careers
  • Resumes and Cover Letters Internships
  • Practice Interviewing Job Search Strategies
  • Career Fairs Customized Career Presentations
  • Social Networking Preparation for Graduate School

The Associate Director for Employer Engagement will lead the strategic expansion of employer recruiting activities. This position will represent the University of Louisville at a variety of events related to employer relations and host organizations on campus for employer development and cultivation purposes.

Identify opportunities to develop new relationships with employers who do not currently have a relationship with the Career Development Center. Oversee all communications to students and employers regarding recruitment activities including marketing materials and recruiting-related website documentation.

Coordinate site visits with career development staff and academic advising colleagues to area employers to expand knowledge and professional development of staff. Work with Director to ensure the day-to-day operations with employer engagement and development continue taking place. Construct policies for employer participation in recruiting program including acceptable methods of employer outreach/marketing and recruiting efforts, adherence to office procedures and deadlines, and ethical/professional conduct. Provide supervision and guidance to the Assistant Director for Employer Engagement.

Represent office in the absence of Director at assigned meetings and events as well as working to develop and implement outcomes based assessments to measure effectiveness of employer partnerships.
