Network Administrator

We are seeking a Network Administrator to join the Kentucky Blood Center IT team.  The role will maintain the overall operations of the organization’s network environment by monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementing complex LAN/WAN changes and repairs in a fast-paced, multi-site setting.  This role requires strong familiarity with data communications equipment, network design, wireless infrastructure, virtual hosting, VoIP phone systems, and other related concepts and applications.  The position is responsible for the development of processes and SOP’s (standard operating procedures), and for contributing to planning and testing within area of expertise.  

A minimum of an Associate Degree in Computer Science with 5+ years of related experience is preferred. High school diploma or GED required; industry certification (CCNA, CompTIA Network+, etc.) is strongly preferred. An acceptable combination of education and applicable work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. The ideal candidate will be a solutions-oriented network expert, with a general understanding of core IT functions and interactions, as well as industry trends.  The individual must demonstrate a commitment to information security practices and internal customer service, with a consistent dedication to the organization’s mission. Position may require occasional in-state travel.
