Position: Realty Specialist

Duties Description: You will serve in a trainee capacity as a Realty Specialist in the Real Estate Division for the Louisville District, US Army Corps of Engineers. You will receive tailored instruction, guidance, training, and supervision designed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure successful performance to progress to the next performance level. Once you have reached the full performance level (GS-09), you will perform the full range of Realty Specialist duties to include: Property Accountability, Real Estate Transactions, and Real Estate Audit Activities. You will be responsible for the inventory of the Civil Projects Real Property and Army Military Real Property including transfer, acceptance, and management of these properties. You will manage, classify, and analyze the utilization of real property to obtain its highest and foremost use. You will determine use of land and/or facilities, monitor usage and pursue cancellation for violations. You will review and process applications for leases, licenses, easements, and permits for real property by using applicable regulations and procedural guidelines to determine that all information is incorporated and accurate. You will prepare real estate audits to determine that all interests in project lands have been acquired or disposed of as planned, or that corrective action has been initiated.

 

Qualifications: Applicant must have graduated (Business, bachelor's degree) within the past 2 years of the announcement or must graduate within 90 days of the announcement (May graduates would qualify).

 

Salary: Applicant will be brought in as a GS-05 ($33,394/Year) with a target grade of GS-09 ($50,598 - $65,778). The GS Payscale can be found at www.opm.gov.
