Human Resource Specialist

This is a three-year Career Development program for entry level Human Resource Specialists designed to prepare selectee for full professional performance.  This is a Public Notice for positions being filled under the Direct Hiring authority (DHA), afforded under Section 1106 of NDAA FY17

Learns and then provides:

Management and position classification services.

Administers in-service placement actions including retention services, special emphasis programs, promotions, reassignments, details, reduction-in-force, outplacement, severance pay etc.

Provides management advisory services to organizational management when re-organizations or related organizational and proposed position changes are proposed.

Participates in Job Fairs.

Provides advice and guidance to managers and supervisors on disciplinary and conduct issues.

Advises management on performance management issues.

Assists managers and supervisors with evaluating training and developmental needs of subordinates, preparing training plans, and locating training opportunities.

Hire will be at the GS 07 level $2,483 or the GS 09 level $51,966  with opportunity for promotion consideration after the first and again after the second year of successful training and performance.

Must be able to qualify and maintain a security clearance.

this is a drug Testing designated position.
