Production and Inventory Control Intern
L3 Power Distribution is searching for a Production and Inventory Control Intern at our Philadelphia, PA site (Northeast Philadelphia). Within our Philadelphia facility, we have the capacity to undertake naval system design, manufacturing and integration programs of many sizes and complexity. Our products include air circuit breakers, switchgear, large motor controllers and the Power Node Control Center (PNCC).
The primary responsibility for this internship will be to work in the operations area and perform the following P&IC and shop floor control functions:
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Release work orders
- Issue work packages (drawings, routings, objective evidence reports)
- Playbook / Shortage sheet material maintenance
- Interfacing/communicating with Sustaining Engineering, Quality Assurance, Purchasing and other functional organizations
- Follow up on Inspection Reports and engineering changes
- Status Work in Process (WIP) and expedite jobs
- Update Line of Balances and Schedules
- Assist supervisors in keeping production moving
- Issue material shortages, obtain updated drawings, routers, tooling, etc.
Qualifications:
- Undergrad student in process of obtaining an engineering or business degree
- Must have excellent written and verbal skills
- Experience with Word and Excel is a must
