Architectural Draftsman

Summit is growing and in need of a full-time Revit and AutoCAD architectural draftsman to join their Lexington, KY team. In this position, the draftsman will use AutoCAD and Revit to produce drawings for a variety of projects.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Produce plans, sections, elevations, and details to convey architectural design and construction information.
• Compile drawings for approval, production, and distribution.
• Identify and communicate design discrepancies and make appropriate modifications consistent with the design intent of the architect.
• Interpret architectural, engineering, or construction drawings.
• Convert CAD drawings/equipment layouts into Revit and provide updates.

Job Requirements:

• Three to five years of experience at an architectural or design firm.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit 2013 or higher.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2013 or higher.
• Ability to create, edit, and place equipment families/blocks.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel throughout the tri-state area (KY, OH and WV).
• Eligible to work in the U.S. and be able to provide proof of eligibility upon request.
