Camp Guys - This one is for YOU!
We are Camp Santa Maria and our co-ed residence camp in the foothills of the Rockies is one of a kind. We are looking for fun loving, memory making, male candidates to help us ensure our residence camp kiddos are safe, secure and engaged while modeling our YMCA core values of respect, responsibility, honesty and caring.
As a Cabin Counselor, we call them Cabin Leaders, you and your co-counselors will be responsible for creating cabin activities, running activity areas, building cabin spirit, assisting with possible homesickness, and the occasional behavioral issues in your cabin. You will get a chance to be creative, have fun, and be a positive mentor and role model for your campers. Our traditional campers range from 6-14 years old. The Cabin Leader lives in a dorm style cabin with up to 12 campers. We also have a opportunities for male staff in our Tent Village. These positions are titled Trip Leader. As a Trip Leader you'll teach basic outdoor and wilderness skills as well as completing the tasks of the Cabin Leaders. All Candidates must be 18 or older.
Only MALE opportunities are still open. Some specialty positions remain. One year of college education is preferred.
YMCA Camp Santa Maria: Our beautiful YMCA overnight camp is nestled in the Rocky Mountains near Grant, CO. We have 45 staff serving up to 160 campers, ages 6 to 16 with co-ed adventure and environmental based programs.
