Distilling co-op spring 2025 - on campus full time

Position: JBBI Distiller Intern 
Type: Full time, 5 days/week full day availability (M-F, 8-5:30pm) 
Compensation: Paid $16/hr or for academic credit (negotiable)

Position Overview: 

As a Distiller Intern, you will work closely with our experienced distillers and production team to learn the intricacies of the distillation process. This hands-on role will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the distilling industry and the daily operations of a working distillery. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Assist with the production and distillation process, including the preparation of ingredients, operation of equipment, and monitoring of cooking and distillation stages. 

Participate in quality control activities, including testing and sampling products to ensure they meet our high standards. 

Support the maintenance and cleaning of distillery equipment and work areas to ensure a safe and efficient environment. 

Collaborate with team members on various projects, including research and development of new products and techniques. 

Document processes and maintain accurate records of production activities. 

Qualifications: 

Available to be onsite at JBBI distillery 

Strong interest in distillation and spirit production. 

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality. 

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. 

Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude. 

Previous experience in a laboratory or production setting is a plus but not required.
